Community Screening

Ua Ke: A Constellation of Intimate Truths

Joua was invited to curate a screening for Open Screen Forum, an event organized by Public Functionary and Cinefilmu. Ua Ke: A Constellation of Intimate Truths brought together a collection of seven powerful films by talented Minnesota BIPOC filmmakers.

“Ua ke” means Together in Hmong. This screening shared a collection of powerful short films that explore themes of identity, community, and personal expression. Audiences viewed thought-provoking stories, from documentaries to art films, that reflect unique realities of the human experience.

The event took place on May 2nd, 2025 in Public Functionary’s main gallery.
