Joua curated the SE Asian Shorts Collection highlighting eight films by Southeast Asian Minnesotan filmmakers, showing the diversity of experiences. This screening highlighted Hmong, Lao, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Filipina filmmakers and stories from their communities in commemoration of the 50 years since SEAAs arrived in Minnesota.

The event took place on May 14th, 2025 at the Marcus West End Cinema, hosted by the Twin Cities Film Fest’s MNmicro Film Festival.
